Bovoison is an emerging fashion label from Auckland. They approached us to craft their new brand for launching to market. Being emerging, they wanted to really stand out. We looked at the style of the clothes and worked up a creative concept to visually present the clothing.

With extreme lycra bodysuits and faux-Mayan screenprints, we struck on the notion of cataloging the future. Future Archaeology became the core creative. This gave us free reign to explore and capture large specimen jars, glass cases and driftwood, juxtaposing a model inside them, displayed in a tableau as you would a taxidermy bird or snake. The identity referenced old block typesetting and ancient hieroglyphics, asymmetrical letter weights allowing for rhythm within the letter forms, an almost starkly lyrical quality.

Bovoison was well received and sold immediately.
